Purpose

Defines identification patches allowed on uniform shirts or dress coats.

Policy/Procedure:

1) The following is a list of patches allowed on Toledo Fire and Rescue uniform fatigue shirts, Chief or Staff shirts, plain white dress shirt, and dress uniform coat:

1. Fatigue Coat: Department patch and paramedic patch, if applicable.
2. Dress uniform coat: Department patch and paramedic patch, if applicable.
3. Blue uniform fatigue shirt: Department patch and/or specialty patch.
4. Polo shirt: Specialty patch and/or station logo. Logo patch is to be on the left sleeve.
5. Chief/Staff dress white shirt: Department patch and specialty patch.
6. Plain dress white shirt: Department patch and paramedic patch, if applicable.

2) The size of the station patch shall not exceed 80% of the area of the Department patch as determined by the Director of the Toledo Fire and Rescue Operations or his/her designee.

3) The Paramedic patch is the only specialty patch allowed on the plain dress white shirt and dress uniform coat and is to be located opposite the Department patch.
