Directive: 26-04 - Non-TFRD Paramedics Operating at the TFRD EMT-Basic Level

All personnel who hold a paramedic certification but are not part of the Toledo Fire & Rescue Department Paramedic Program/Roster shall function only at the EMT-Basic level while operating under TFRD.

These members are required to complete all EMT-Basic continuing education requirements as mandated to maintain competency. This requirement is necessary to ensure continued proficiency in the knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) associated with the EMT-Basic scope of practice.

Failure to maintain required EMT-Basic continuing education may result in loss of certification and progressive discipline.
