**Purpose**

Defines identification patches allowed on uniform shirts or dress coats.


**Policy/Procedure:**

**1)** The following is a list of patches allowed on Toledo Fire and Rescue uniform fatigue shirts, Chief or Staff shirts, plain white dress shirt, and dress uniform coat:\\
  - **Fatigue Coat:** Department patch and paramedic patch, if applicable.
  - **Dress uniform coat:** Department patch and paramedic patch, if applicable.
  - **Blue uniform fatigue shirt:** Department patch and/or specialty patch.
  - **Polo shirt:** Specialty patch and/or station logo. Logo patch is to be on the left sleeve.
  - **Chief/Staff dress white shirt:** Department patch and specialty patch.
  - **Plain dress white shirt:** Department patch and paramedic patch, if applicable.

**2)** The size of the station patch shall not exceed 80% of the area of the Department patch as determined by the Director of the Toledo Fire and Rescue Operations or his/her designee.

**3)** The Paramedic patch is the only specialty patch allowed on the plain dress white shirt and dress uniform coat and is to be located opposite the Department patch.
